Market makers for pump.fun coins · Solana
your coin, its own market maker it buys when bots dump it sells into rises half the fees go to you
Every wallet is public. pump.fun pays the dev's half of the creator fees straight to the dev's own wallet: Backstop never holds a dev's money. The market maker trades its own capital, funded by 40% of the fees. Market making can lose money; that loss stays with the market maker.

03Money flow
After that, pump.fun pays out the coin's creator fees by itself: half to the dev, the rest to the coin's market maker and the platform.
The dev signs one launch from their own wallet: the coin, the dev buy and a fee split locked on-chain through pump.fun. 50% goes to the dev, 40% to the coin's Backstop and 10% to the platform. Nobody can change it later.
Every trade pays creator fees. The dev's half lands in the dev's own wallet. The coin's Backstop gets 40% and trades from one public wallet, listed on its page.
The wallet buys when a sniper, an early bundle, the dev or a big seller dumps, and sells into the rise that follows. It never trades against another Backstop wallet.
The dev's half is the dev's from the first fee. The market maker keeps its own profit and loss. It never pays out, and it never asks the dev for more.
04The bots
Other market makers react to the price. Backstop also reads who is selling. We have recorded every pump.fun launch and every bonding-curve trade since 30 September 2026. In the 292,667 launches of the last seven days, 6,841 wallets bought in the first three seconds of at least twelve launches and sold within ten minutes in most of them.
When one of them sells into your chart, your Backstop is the buyer.

06Rules
Backstop never holds a dev's money: pump.fun pays the dev's half to the dev's own wallet. Each coin's market maker trades the platform's own capital from a wallet on our servers. These rules decide what that key may do.
50% to the dev, 40% to the coin's Backstop, 10% to the platform, set through pump.fun fee sharing at launch. pump.fun locks it after that, so joining is permanent.
pump.fun pays the dev's 50% straight to the dev's own wallet. Backstop has no key to it and never touches it.
The market maker's profit and loss stay with its own capital. Nothing is taken from the dev, and nothing tops it up.
A Backstop's wallet only buys against real sellers, and it is listed on its page with every trade.
Each buy, sell and fee claim links to its transaction. The totals on this page come from the chain.
If a Backstop's trade fails, that Backstop stops and is checked by hand. The others keep running.
07Platform token
The platform's 10% of every coin's creator fees splits in two: 5% pays for running Backstop, 5% buys $BACKSTOP and burns it. The more coins run a Backstop, the more $BACKSTOP burns.
Every burn is a public transaction from the burn vault, listed here as it happens.
